GIC Bhutan Re CEO Meets H.E. Ambassador of India in Thimphu

The Chief Executive Officer of GIC Bhutan Reinsurance Company Ltd., Mr. Kesang Wangdi, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Shri Sandeep Arya, Ambassador of India to Bhutan, at the Embassy of India in Thimphu.

The meeting was held to greet and welcome His Excellency and to express appreciation for the strong partnership and continued support received from Indian insurance and reinsurance Companies, largely owned by the Government of India. During the meeting, the CEO also shared perspectives on future collaboration and the opportunities to further enhance insurance and reinsurance business between the two nations. Concerns and challenges related to certain regulatory requirements were also raised and formally submitted to His Excellency.

His Excellency the Ambassador acknowledged the concerns and assured his support in taking up the matter with the relevant authorities of the Government of India.
