GIC-Bhutan Reinsurance Company Limited held a business meeting with SMC Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen the existing business collaboration, and explore opportunities to enter into new markets in the region and across, preferably in Sri Lanka and the sub-Saharan region.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Kesang Wangdi, Chief Executive Officer of GIC-Bhutan Re, and attended by senior officials from SMC Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., led by its Chairman, Mr. Pravin K. Agarwal.
During the meeting, the two sides deliberated on potential areas of business collaboration for the coming years across various international markets, including Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and the African region. Discussions also covered current business developments in India and explored opportunities across various specialty lines, particularly Agriculture, Cyber, Liability and Health.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for both organizations to exchange insights, identify emerging opportunities, and discuss avenues for building stronger and more sustainable business relationships in the reinsurance sector.
